- The simplest Encrypted Clichés™ to solve are where the Encrypted Cliché™ is made up of word-for-word synonyms from the hidden cliché, such as in our example, where “Refrigerated As A Pickle” was the Encrypted Cliché™ for “Cool As A Cucumber”.
- Sometimes the Encrypted Cliché™ isn’t made up of word-for-word synonyms of the hidden cliché. These Encrypted Clichés™ are usually trickier to solve. An example is the Encrypted Cliché™ “Truancy Compels Love’s Multiplication,” which signifies the hidden cliché “Absence Makes The Heart Grow Fonder”.
- The hidden clichés are often clichés, but catch phrases, idioms, and other popular or well recognized phrases can also be used.
- To create even more interest, sometimes antonyms, not synonyms, are used when constructing the Encrypted Cliché™. Keep on the lookout for these literary curveballs as they pop-up from time-to-time.
